-
Back to Basics: This day is for Beginners and also for existing traders who would like to revisit that initial learning curve. In a classroom setting, Rick and AJ will walk you through all the basics and teach you carefully selected trading concepts and strategies that will give you the understanding and confidence you need to begin applying these techniques in your own trading. It will also be a great opportunity for those of you who have lapsed trading and want to get back trading again.
Trend Analysis:
With Trend analysis, there are three initial questions to be asked.
- What direction is the stock headed in?
- How far is it likely to run? This gives us our profit target.
- And how long will it take to get there?
To analyse the trends AJ and Rick will introduce you to Chart Patterns, Understanding Candlesticks, Technical indicators and Alerts, and Stock Market timing.
Of course, all forms of investment carry a certain level of risk. Some investors believe that operating through a broker will somehow diminish that risk, but with the appropriate training and a firm commitment to solid risk management, online trading can be a profitable, low-risk investment vehicle amid the current volatility. Importantly, all risks can be hedged to provide security for the investor, thereby taking the worry and stress out of trading while the constant use of technical analysis will give investors a truer picture of what the market is doing, as opposed to what market commentators think it is doing. Combine this with fundamental analysis and then you will be in a good position to make an educated judgment on how to identify a profitable trade.
Risk Management:
The Market Guys have a big emphasis on risk management. They are great believers in protecting your investment capital and will teach you how to trade and never risk any more than 1% of your capital at any one time.
Trading plan:
The importance of discipline is of the utmost importance when it comes to setting up a trading plan. Adhering to that trading plan can be difference between Profit and Loss.

The Greeks: Whether you are new to investing or are a seasoned professional, using options can be an efficient and easy way to protect the profits you have made, limit your loss, gain additional income or secure a specific stock price. The Market Guys seminar is designed to help every level of investor gain a fuller understanding of the uses of listed options. An option's price can be influenced by a number of factors. These factors can either help or hurt traders, depending on the type of options positions they have established. To become a successful option trader, it is essential to understand what factors influence the price of an option, which requires learning about the so-called "Greeks" - a set of risk measures that indicate how exposed an option is to time-value decay, implied volatility and changes in the underlying price of the commodity. The Market Guys will look at four "Greek" risk measures - delta, theta, vega and gamma - and explain their importance.
World outlook: Banking, Green energy, Fast growing markets in The East and identifying opportunities.
